Why dual-facing
The road view shows what happened. The cab view shows who didn't cause it.
A forward camera settles the physics of a collision. It cannot answer what the driver was doing. IQ-CAM-12 answers both, on one timeline.

Machine vision
It decides in the moment, not after the upload.
Detection runs on the device, so an event raises itself whether or not the truck has bars. Harsh braking, speeding and sharp turns each become an event.

Asked about the IQ-CAM-12.
Is IQ-CAM-12 the same as the MC30 or the ME40?
No. They are three different cameras in the IQ-CAM family. IQ-CAM-12 is the dual-facing unit with machine vision on the cab, the MC30 is road-facing only and installs in about 15 minutes, and the ME40 runs four channels with ADAS and DMS. The difference table above lays out every line where they part ways.
Does it work without cell coverage?
Yes. If connectivity drops, IQ-CAM buffers roughly 4 hours of GPS data and 1 GB of video locally, then uploads when coverage returns. GPS updates every 5 seconds while online.
Will my drivers accept a camera pointed at the cab?
Framing matters. The cabin lens is the half of the evidence that protects the driver's record and their CDL when the other party's story is wrong. Coaching workflows recognize good driving, not just exceptions.
How is footage shared with an insurer?
Driver-caused events upload themselves to your dashboard, so the clip is waiting for you. Open the event, download it, and send it to your adjuster. Incident alerts reach you by text or email as it happens.
Is there a contract?
No. Like everything AirIQ sells, IQ-CAM is month-to-month with no long-term contract and no early-termination fee.
